We are very grateful to Dr. Anna Santucci, who has recently stepped down from the EuroSoTL Board following her exciting new position in the United States. Anna has contributed greatly to the EuroSoTL community through her energy, ideas, and commitment to strengthening SoTL across Europe. We sincerely thank her for her dedication and wish her every success in her new role.

At the same time, we are delighted to welcome Prof. Dr. Maik Arnold, FRSA (Germany, University of Applied Sciences Nordhausen), as a new member of the EuroSoTL Board. Maik brings valuable experience from a region not yet represented on our board and an extensive network within the German SoTL community. His appointment will help us further expand and strengthen our European reach and collaboration.

Introducing Maik Arnold:

“I am delighted to join the EuroSoTL Board and look forward to collaborating with colleagues across Europe to enhance the visibility and impact of SoTL in higher education.
My SoTL journey began in 2018 with a service-learning project that brought together youth, students, and social workers through a collaborative crowdfunding campaign. Since 2019, I have done more SoTL research and have been part of the German SoTL Network’s speaker team, organizing bi-monthly exchanges on teaching and learning practices.
As a board member, I aim to strengthen the integration of the German SoTL community within the broader European network, foster collaboration beyond conferences, and promote diverse and new ways of sharing SoTL work.”

We’re very pleased to have Maik on board and look forward to his contributions as we continue to grow and connect the SoTL community across Europe.

Welcome, Maik!
