of Teaching and Learning\u201d explored several key themes. Sessions focused on interdisciplinary work in education, highlighting initiatives to address declining STEM enrolments and professional partnerships between academics and school teachers. Participants also discussed embedding SoTL across university campuses, detailing the formation of interdisciplinary research working groups to shape teaching and learning research priorities among others. The conference emphasized the importance of collaboration, innovative curriculum development, and building scholarly communities to enhance educational practices and bridge institutional around 120,000 and a significant student population of over 35,000. It boasts the second largest natural harbour in the world and offers direct ferry crossings to mainland Europe. The city is home to University College Cork and Cork Institute of Technology. Cork was named the European City of Culture in 2005 and one of the top three cities to visit in 2010 by Lonely Planet. The city\u2019s name, derived from the Irish \u2018Corcach M\u00f3r Mumhan\u2019, means \u2018Great marsh of Munster\u2019, reflecting its marshy origins.
